QM-SPLINE

The QMSOFT®/QM-SPLINE program is used for the computer-aided testing of gear gauges with straight or involute gearing using the so-called two-ball measurement over or between two special measuring rollers (balls).

Description

The QMSOFT®/QM-SPLINE program is used for the computer-aided testing of gear gauges with straight or involute gearing using the so-called two-ball measurement over or between two special measuring rollers (balls). The following standards are implemented:

  • Gear gauges with involute gearing according to DIN 5480, October 1991 and
    DIN 5480, March 2006
  • Gear gauges with involute gearing according to DIN 5482; March 1973
  • Gauges for splined shaft connections according to DIN 5481; January 1952
  • Gearing gauges with involute gearing according to ANSI B92.1-1996
  • Gearing gauges with involute gearing according to factory standards
(Entering the tooth thickness or gap width).

The program is designed to implement the two-ball measurement, i.e. to determine the test dimension above or between two measuring rollers. The measurement of base circle diameter, root circle diameter and other parameters of the gear gauges is not part of the QMSOFT®/QM-SPLINE program!

The program calculates the nominal test dimension above or between the two measuring rollers and compares it with the recorded measured values. The input parameters required for the evaluation are checked for plausibility in accordance with the scope of the applicable standard or guideline.

Knowledge of the standards and mastery of the measurement procedures used for the test are required. In the result log, the master data of the test item is clearly prepared in conjunction with the test conditions and the measurement results. Tolerance violations are marked and reported in terms of amount.

The program works with the test equipment management program QMSOFT®/QM-MANAGE professional edition, whereby the The test results obtained by the program (including the test report) are then returned directly to the test equipment database.
